Football Analyst Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, readers and a variety of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Family Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still Forest coach.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

A family member told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

As for Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
