Fabio Paratici Comes Back to Spurs as Joint Sporting Director Following Two-and-a-Half-Year Suspension
Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the permanent comeback of Fabio Paratici, now part of a fresh management setup for the men's team operations.
Paratici resigned from his position as managing director of football in spring 2023 after an appeal against a two-and-a-half-year ban from football was rejected in Italy. The disciplinary action was handed down due to his involvement in alleged false accounting at his previous team, Juventus.
New Leadership Structure at Tottenham
Paratici will now act as joint sporting director alongside Johan Lange, who has been promoted from his former position as technical lead. The duo will work closely with CEO Vinai Venkatesham and head coach Thomas Frank.
“I've been collaborating with Johan, Vinai, and Thomas as a advisor for several months, and I now am excited to coming back to London and becoming part of the team full-time,” Paratici stated. “I'm convinced that working in partnership with Johan, we can create a bright future for the club and our supporters.”
Spurs explained that Paratici, who originally came to the club in 2021, and Lange have been tasked with managing a structure that will work to “develop a winning, world-class men’s team that endures.”
